Dhikala Jeep Safari

Jeep Safari Access in Dhikala: Not for Day Visitors

Unlike other tourism zones in Corbett, the Dhikala Zone does not allow Jeep Safaris for day visitors. Access is restricted to tourists who have valid accommodation bookings within the zone’s forest lodges. Once your stay is confirmed, you must hire a registered safari Jeep from the forest department to travel and explore the zone.

Dhikala Zone Forest Rest Houses (FRHs)

Night stay options within Dhikala include four government-run rest houses:

• Dhikala FRH – Located at the core of the zone; most popular
• Sarpduli FRH – Ideal for spotting crocodiles and birdlife
• Gairal FRH – Peaceful setting near the Ramganga River
• Sultan FRH – Closest to the Dhangarhi entry gate

Important: Night stays are permitted only between 15th November and 15th June each year.

Safari Duration & Entry Point

During your stay, you are entitled to two Jeep safaris per day (Morning & Evening), each lasting up to 3.5 hours. All visitors must enter through the Dhangarhi Gate, showing their accommodation permit and ID. The Jeep and guide remain with you for the duration of your stay, offering a private and flexible wildlife experience.
